His positions on foreign policy are probably in line with what Evangelicals should believe.

Evangelicals are neocons due to support for the state of Israel and suspicion of the Iranian government system.

I'm an Evangelical and am not a neocon, there are a lot of us actually.  But applying Biblical principles to foreign policy would lead to the use of force being restricted to self-defense.
