Alabama was actually closer than NJ in 2000.

Kerry would need an LBJ type landslide to win Alabama and we all know that isn't happening! Smiley

If Kerry gets 60% he wins Alabama.

Reagan didn't even receive 60% nationwide. I think it's safe to say Kerry won't come close that 60%.

You know Ben Grieve is a walking argument for the DH rule?  Now I'm a Mets fan, but it is painful to watch that guy out in right field.

But it's a moot point, he's in the NL now.

Mets are done. Braves winning other division title!

Yep.  But the Mets have gotten me to August (a feat I thought they never would accomplish) so I'm not complaining.

And now I have 'refocused'-I am hoping for 81 Mets wins.

I doubt anyone's beating the braves this year.

You're right about the Braves...but it makes no sense. On paper, Philadelphia, Florida and the Mets are ALL better teams than Atlanta this year...

Mazzone is a damn good pitching coach, I think that's the difference.  Jaret Wright is 9-5.  Rick Peterson is no Leo Mazzone, that's why the Braves have a better rotation despite the Mets having Leiter, Glavine, Benson, and Trachsel.

Plus, the Mets lead the league in errors (evidences by the fact that Tom Glavine is 8-9 with a 2.80 ERA.)
