"In 2000 the Republicans were so sick of being defeated by their moral enemy Clinton (including their self-inflicted wound from the moronic impeachment attempt...remember they spent $50 million and an enormous amount of time to investigate a blow job instead of, say, Islamic terrorist networks.)"

Yeah, they do have a little bit of a liberal bias.

Yes, it's very biased.  But the maps are useful, and the commentary is humorous.

He could have voted for him in '68 too Smiley
I forgot about that.

Reagan actually lost twice ('68 and '76) and won twice ('80 and '84), so Reagan is just as much of a loser as he is a winner.

ummm no not really to me at least theres a big dif. between losing primarie elections and general ones
Reagan would have lost the general in 1968 and 1976 by alot.

Probably yes, though he might have hurt Carter's support in the South.
People weren't going to elect someone as conservative as Reagan until they were in dire staraits, which is what the case was in 1976.  He would have lost like Goldwater in '68, but been respectable in defeat in 1976.
