Nothing is certain, except for Howard Dean's nomination...and look at how that turned out.

edwards was 2nd on the list for VP in 2000 but lost out to joe
I think Gephardt was third....both Edwards and Lieberman were used to try to win Florida.

Now, I don't wanna offend anyone, but could a black woman actually win the Republican nomination and then a general election? I would of course hope so, but I wll just have to be sceptical there.
