What is it?  I tried to look on their reddit, but I couldn't really make heads or tails of what they're talking about. 

Basically it's a cesspool of extremely bitter and hateful misogyny.  There's more to it, but that's really all you need to know.

that's not accurate.  that characterization better fits r/GreatApes or the less intellectual areas of Stormfront, where all that goes on is a contest to cram the most  hatred into a post as is possible.

RedPill isn't an echo chamber.  it more resembles a secular religion/cult, with certain rituals (working out, sex with multiple women), semi-sacred texts/beliefs, repeated cliches, etc.  despite all that it does deal with a significant social phenomenon -- the anomie of the young adult male -- which makes it interesting to study in a way that racial hate sites are not.
