If I were a liberal, I would still dislike lieberman more than mancin.
Lieberman's vote against the public option was objectively a vote in favor of key insurance donors in his home state. There was NEVER any "principled reservation" on the part of Lieberman. He was bribed and had dollar signs in his eyes.
Manchin, on the other hand, at least has been consistent throughout his career on his moderation and bipartisanship
Also, healthcare is far higher in terms of urgent need than tweaks to voting rights.
