Michigan seems to be a state where a lot of Bernie 2016 voters are now trumplicans who have left the party

Anyone have any data yet on turnout in WWC counties that swung to trump in 2016?

The real question here is: Does Biden's strength in the WWC/Rural Dem counties translate to the general? If so, Trump is done.

I’d say you can’t draw that conclusion quite yet

Seems like way too many of you are trying to extrapolate Primary performances to general elections

Remember, trump crapped the mattress in Iowa and WI

Why not? If anything Clinton underperformance in midwest carried into the general.

She did well in states like Ohio and Florida yet lost those states

Not that it matters, but trump is going to break reagan’s 1984 vote share in the Michigan gop primary

I admire that biden isn’t a full fledged socialist like Bernie, but I roll my eyes at his schtick about morality, decency, and national healing.

Where were those characteristics today when he insulted and threatened an American he may be president for next year?

Where were those characteristics when he went into the dirt in 2012 and accused Romney of pretty shocking beliefs, such as wanting to bring slavery back for African Americans?

Where were those characteristics when he continued to falsely claim that the driver who collided with his wife and daughter was drunk, even after the family wrote to the senator and begged him to stop doing that because it was ruining the reputation of their father? That driver went to the grave with a significant portion of American believing him to be a reckless murderous drunk. Can you imagine how awful he must have felt?

You wear a blue avatar, and yet presume that you get should be taken seriously when you criticize anyone else's choice of whom to politically support?

I, and many other people are fair minded, roll my eyes when I hear biden speak of “healing” the country through unity and decency

Have we lost our minds? This country has been polarized at dangerous levels since the 2004 election. It has gotten worse on a linear trend, but just remember the Ferguson riots of 2014 when you reminisce about the “good ole unified” days before trump arrived. Trump is a symptom of a corrosion in national empathy, not a cause.

Can we all admit that bill weld, for being a former governor, has performed embarrassingly in some of these races?

He got 11% in his home state he was gov of!

Not even breaking 3% tonight

Hell, some guy running from a jail cell got double digits against obama in some primaries

Does anyone else get the vibe that Harry enten, Nate silver, and Dave wasserman aren’t very big fans of sanders?

They are good about keeping things objective, numbers-wise, but I sense a bit of giddiness when they tweet out good news about biden.

I noticed this 4 years ago too. They seemed to favor clinton
