Well I was a extreme tea party conservative republican (was dem initially with those views) than after seeing the abuse of large corporations and the hypocrisy of the tea party movement I became a independent and adopted my own views (drawing from the left and the right). Idk about past elections because I was not alive then.

Can someone explain the views of parties like democrat-republican and federalist.
