FWIW I've heard that it's basically been leaked by some within Reddit that the only reason some of its most vile subreddits are still up (such as probably the worst of the worst: r/Physical_Removal) is because the FBI has asked Reddit not to take them down and is asking for info on various posters on them.

While the Daily Stormer is vile and there's no reason to be sympathetic to them, and businesses should generally be free to choose who they do business with, this does raise interesting questions about the suppression of thought on the Internet. Even Russia did not accept them as "Internet refugees". Limiting speech and thought tends to be a slippery slope.
