America does not need the world, the world needs America. If they don't like us, they can stick it
With the rise of China and its foreign largesse (look up OBOR) this is increasingly not the case. This post is the height of uninformed arrogance
World leadership goes beyond economic help; we are (unfairly) expected to be the world's police/moral authority. a responsibility that china/india/eu don't want. whenever sh**t hits the fan in the world, they always cry out for america
It's such a stupid, infantile position to think that nations can simply pull away from the International community and someone be fine. It's the sort of pumped up nationalism that has lead Britain to try and undertake the colossus cluster- of Brexit, based on the view that we 'beat Hitler' and 'had an empire' therefore we don't need an economic/political support structure.
The US's power comes from it's allies; a major reason why Iraq was such a sh**tshow was because there was a lot less logistical support from other European Countries; meaning that Britain and the US had to take excessively large roles in reconstructing the country.
There's countless other examples; from every continent, of how having allies makes America infinitely more powerful, and influential.
