I remember watching newsnight coverage of the 1994 election, and a lot of people at first liked Prescott- saw him as trustworthy, honest etc. His biggest problem is that imo Labour Prime Ministers only survive if they're good at well jumping around the ideological spectrum (aka Harold Wilson/Blair) Prescott certainly has a bit of Harry Perkins to him

Prescott certainly poses an interesting Dilemma; as the economic growth inherited means that Labour will do relatively well
