Apologies for not getting back to this-I've been travelling to uni today and only just got back/settled in.

Article 2 needs redrafting on my behalf- I didn't intent to segregate but rather great a separate wing if that was required/needed by certain groups of prisioners. Other than that I think it's a small bill that Assembly members should be able to get on board with-it introduces market incentives to private prisons (who despite the bad press only make up 9% of total prisons)

Are you concerned with bullying or what, exactly? In my opinion, this will make it to where prisoners lie about their orientation. Then, certain groups can claim LGBT people are more likely to commit crimes than the average person.

More so than Bullying-namely the fact that certain prisoners face increased risks of violence.

Tbh who cares what bigoted groups are going to say? I mean it's like saying if we allow gay marriage people will say that gay divorce rates are going to go up-people can claim whatever they want

Unless something changed since I was last a representative, there aren't any private prisons in the NE.

Did we outlaw them?

I'm going to have to take the extremely embarrassing step of vetoing my own bill- purely because it's invalid in attempting to regulate private prisons. I'll redraft something in the next couple of hours to actually make it work

Doesn't look bad, but maybe there should be a penalty to violators and poorly administrated prisons?

I was thinking of adding performance targets/rankings into the system- even if it's regional ran service they should still be ran to high standards
