Ted Kennedy was the most skilled politician out of the three brothers. Jack was the statesmen, Robert was the jesuit priest and Ted was the lion.

I'll be the first to admit he had personal flaws, massive ones. These flaws lead to the death of a young women.

His achievements in congress speak for themselves. Leader for civil rights action from 1960 until his death, introduced AIDs funding in the 80's, more support for disabled americans, cut off funding for the Allende government, pushed through South Africa sanctions, supported women rights, life long advocate for health care reform. Heck there's so many more I can't remember, but Ted Kennedy did a lot of good stuff that the left shouldn't forget.

One of the best senators in the 20th century

I must admit I'm not too familiar with Chappaquiddick, but voted FF because I appreciate his wonderful stances and actions. Impressive that despite coming from a privileged background, he did so much for the less fortunate.

Oh you mean pretty much block the one stump issue he had going just because a Republican President agreed with it, stampede the efforts of Jimmy Carter left and right on pretty much every issue while he was president (including on UHC again), followed by the nastiest primary challenge this side of 1924 in 1980?

You have to be kidding me.

Carter dropped the ball on healthcare, and never seemed that committed to it

Without getting into details, HP no doubt.

If his last name was not Kennedy, he would never have been elected to the Senate.

That's what his opponent said in '62 and he lost. I don't understand why people bash him for it? What do you want Teddy to do? Despite his immense wealth he spend his life fighting for universal healthcare, union rights and increased minimum wage, compared to so many other wealthy (I'm talking Kennedy level wealth) who use their time to get tax cuts.

If Churchill's last name wasn't churchill he wouldn't of been our wartime PM, if RFK wasn't a Kennedy he wouldn't of ran the most inspiring race that the US has ever seen and if Rockefeller wasn't a rockefeller New York wouldn't have a decent governor.

Please, you need new attacks on Teddy. Not one's used in 1962
