I'm not quite sure how his supporters will take this. Refusing to debate sounds like a low-energy thing.

It may play well if he does this "I'm too good for this" card. Plus, he has already complained about Kelly and made questionable comments about her, and didn't cost him support.

I do wonder the degree of which the debate will center around him. After all, he has demonstrated that with him any kind of publicity is good publicity.
