I cant start this until I know how to make this game even.

Why? Is it still giving you uneven returns? That's just something that you'll have to live with since its not even between Democrats and Republicans in real life either. Just play it through.

EDIT: Actually why don't you try playing with regionalism on? It makes the vote more dependent on the players positions than on the electoral trends text file.

I simulated 10 Bush v. Kerry games in a scenario called America Decides - 2004, which is available off 80soft's website and uses the actual vote totals for Bush and Kerry. It came down to 5 for Bush 5 for Kerry though Kerry did win two or three of those while losing the electoral vote.

With regionalism on the numbers were 6 for Bush, 3 for Kerry, and 1 Tie. So Regionalism in a Bush v. Kerry matchup actually hurts the left wing candidate.

Well P4E comes with a candidate editor so you don't need to edit the text files. If you need some help Bacon King I could do some of the matchups.

We could alternate brackets.

Well I found a problem with mine. I had made some changes to the 2004 scenario so I kinda screwed it up.

Justin Coleman (R): 66,261,174 53% 429 EVs
Joshua Craddock (D): 55,783,675 44% 109 EVs

Game 9 Bacon King vs. Afleitch:

Oh my God. Bacon King goes crazy. Biggest landslide yet against Afleitch. Afleitch started out with about 40% of the vote and it didn't get any better. He lost most of his states in the final week due to unstoppable Bacon King momentum.

Just a heads up Bacon King you may want to give us their forum names as well as the names that they ran under in the tournament since it's hard to tell for some of them.

Expect Round 2 of Bracket D by tonight.

ROUND 2 BRACKET D

Round 2 (With Regionalism):

Game 1 MasterJedi vs. Akno21:

Ryan Noble (R): 62,823,930 50% 323 EVs
Alex Knobbly (D): 60,181,285 48% 215 EVs

Game 2 MasterJedi vs. Ilikeverin:

Ryan Noble (R): 62,393,029 50% 272 EVs
Chris Ilikeverin (D): 60,476,658 48% 266 EVs

Game 3 MasterJedi vs. Speed of Sound:

Why is it that strange things always happen when Speedy is the candidate?

Speed of Sound (D): 61,915,498 49% 288 EVs
Ryan Noble (R): 61,325,041 49% 250 EVs

Game 4 DanielX vs. Akno21:

Biggest electoral victory yet for a Democrat.

Alex Knobbly (D): 61,800,012 49% 300 EVs
Daniel Smith (R): 60,211,246 48% 238 EVs

Game 5 Daniel Smith vs. Ilikeverin:

Chris Ilikeverin (D): 62,212,245 50% 276 EVs
Daniel Smith (R): 60,911,692 48% 262 EVs

Game 6 DanielX vs. Speed of Sound:

DanielX loses his third game in a row. Also FYI Badnarik got almost 2% of the vote in this election, over 2.7 million votes, but his results did not effect any of the races.

Speed of Sound (D): 61,483,271 49% 296 EVs
Daniel Smith (R): 60,437,081 48% 242 EVs

Game 7 FezzyFestoon vs. Akno21:

Brett Festoon (R): 62,706,113 50% 294 EVs
Alex Knobbly (D): 60,203,020 48% 244 EVs

Game 8 FezzyFestoon vs. Ilikeverin:

A Republican finally dips below 60 million votes in this Ilikeverin win. Verin also wins his home state of Indiana for the first time. Very close election overall with Tenessee being won by Verin by 27,501 votes, Missouri won by Fezzy by .9% and Virginia won by Fezzy by 2%.

Chris Ilikeverin (D): 63,551,268 51% 272 EVs
Brett Festoon (R): 59,408,103 47% 266 EVs

Game 9 FezzyFestoon vs. Speed of Sound:

And for our last game Speedy gets landslided by Fezzy. SoS drops down into the 55 million votes range. Oddest thing is that Tennesee is SoS's best state. Must be the ever popular Al Gore effect. Wink

Brett Festoon (R): 67,014,493 53% 344 EVs
Speed of Sound (D): 55,910,159 44% 194 EVs

And that is it. New standings and totals will be posted shortly.

yea, i got his platform, but the other information isn't listed.

It was never listed. Shilly just made up his numbers as I suggest you do since he didn't sign up for the tournament. He is just a place filler.

There's gotta be a losers bracket...at least for those who do exceptionally well either in the PV or EV
