Ad as in a political ad is spelled a-d. Add as in please add 2 plus 2 is spelled a-d-d. For a political ad it would be spelled a-d.

In addition to this point, I'd like to add that 'ad' is an abbreviation of advertisement.

I don't know why people still get this messed up.

I'd say it's because of our public schools, but...  Smiley

It must be that Private School education that I had.
