Ad #2: Perceptions vs. Reality” (short: 30-45 seconds)
(picture of Senator StatesRights on the screen)
Announcer: Senator StatesRights likes to say that he is “a gentlemen, a Southerner, and our Senator.” So how does that match up with his record?
(picture turns fuzzy and muddled, black and white, with dark music in the background)
(voice turning snarly) Does a gentlemen call his fellow legislators and citizens “ing (word deleted) crybabies” and “henpecking p*ssies” the moment they disagree with him?
(music growing)Does a Southerner vote against repealing part of the horrific Family Planning Amendments Act passed by an avowed Communist, because he will not accept compromise on anything?
(music growing even more) And most importantly, does “our” (emphasis) Senator choose to view his responsibility to represent and campaign for the citizens District 4 as secondary to his Presidential ambitions?
(no music, soft tone) So, should that man be “our” senator?
Maybe Mike Naso was right, maybe StatesRights is a (double-tracked Mike Naso and loud) “Hansel and Gretel SOB!”
(softly) Come February, It’s your choose.
Ad paid for by the Sam Spade for Senate committee.
