"GOP base is poor uneducated people" would be a nice one to stop seeing sense it's factually incorrect despite the fact that our liberal members and the media repeat it endlessly.
Seriously. Just statistically, poor Whites from the Deep South don't make up that big of a percentage of their own states, let alone the whole Republican electorate. A lot of people who liberals would call "racist" or "homophobic" or "Bible thumpers" (not that I don't enjoy tossin' those terms around, too) are fairly well off and college educated. There are several very affluent areas of the country that are VERY socially conservative.
