I bet everyone on this forum agrees that nine-year-olds should not have access to Uzis.  However, this does not logistically lend itself, as some here will pathetically assert, that all citizens who own a pistol for self defense should have to be part of a registry...

You'd better tell that to the NRA.  They've compiled a registry of gun owners without their consent for years.
