Look at the comments to see the true opinions of Alabama voters:

There's going to be a nation wide backlash against AL when Moore wins this. They will definitely be the butt of a lot of late night jokes throughout December.

There should be an electoral backlash. If "San Francisco Values" can work as an electoral sledgehammer against the Democrats because San Francisco thinks gays are humans, then "Alabama Values" should work against the GOP due to the fact that they elect pedophiles.

Jones is a very slight favorite at this point but that could change over the next month especially as the intensity cools off on Moore. But don't use internet comments to assume people are sticking with Moore if Twitter comments represented actual voters David Duke would be the junior Senator from Louisiana rn

Most of Duke's Twitter support was probably from people that didn't even live in Louisiana. Most of the comments on that site are from Alabamians.

Also, it's not just internet comments. He's still ahead in most of the polls.

So is IceSpear still screaming "LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU" with his fingers stuck in his ears?

Is that not what you've done with every poll that has Moore still ahead (i.e. most of them)?

AL.com: Gadsden locals say Moore's predatory behavior at mall, restaurants not a secret

Secondary lesson from all this: whoever was doing opposition research for Mo Brooks and Luther Strange needs to be fired at once.

Moore support for Moore from the Alabungan natives:

Can we stop with the cherry picking random internet comments to generalize about whole states? There are good people in Alabama, and most of them don't waste away their days spamming up AL.com.

No need to cherry pick, most of the polls still show Moore ahead. And yeah, there are good people in Alabama. Which is why Moore won't win with 100% of the vote. But he'll still win.

I really don't think Moore can hold out much longer.  This afternoon's account by Beverly Nelson and the reports of his activities at the Gadsden Mall will be too much for his supporters to stay on board.

I'm not sure if Doug Jones will win next month.  But however it turns out, Moore is not going to serve in the Senate.

That much is true. He's going to get expelled, then the GOP gets Luther Strange back for another year (at least.)

If he wins, he will not be expelled. Having a full caucus is what Republicans want.

They still would. He gets expelled, then Ivey appoints Strange again (or maybe Sessions.)

Dude, if you're this convinced, you can make some good money on PredictIt.

Implying I'm already not. Tongue Also, that same logic can apply to everyone. If you're so confident of a Jones victory, then max out!

Also, it is possible some type of funny business could cause Moore to resolve to no. Like if for some reason he drops out, or a strong write in candidate emerges. Both seem pretty remote, but they're possible. I'm 100% confident that Moore wins a straight head to head against Jones though.

Greedo is officially more reasonable than Alabama Republicans. An admittedly low bar.

Thanks again if I lived in Alabama I would still vote Moore because jones is super left wing but either way Moore should drop out for the good of America and the Republican Party.

Roll Eyes

I was going to take it back, but even with this addendum it still applies, sadly.

Let's all take a moment and recognize the fact that EnglishPete perfectly represents the hundreds of thousands of Alabama Republicans that will happily vote for Moore. He is no outlier.

I can't wait to hang Moore around the necks of every Republican.

This makes the Nancy Pelosi stuff look like child's play.

You still have time to do the right thing, GOP.

Knowing Democrats, they'll probably be too stupid to use this strategy because it's "insensitive to Southerners" or some BS.

How did none of this come about in any of his court races? Are there no investigative journalists in Alabama?

My guess would be nobody bothers to investigate Alabama Republicans since they are guaranteed a win even if exposed as a pedophile.
