Not really. It gave them a long shot at the presidency, a much better chance at holding the Senate, and no doubt countless Congressional and local races.

The race was tightening anyway, as people pointed out. This just caused me and a lot of other atlas posters to panic a week and a half ago.

It may have been tightening a bit, but this obviously rapidly accelerated it. Before the Comey letter we were still getting polls showing Hillary up double digits. Now people are excited by polls showing her up 5-6.
