He's said he wouldn't vote for Hillary. I would've pegged him as solidly for Trump before the past few weeks, but I think Trump has now gone too far even for this attention whore. He's obviously not voting for Johnson or Stein. So who? Maybe he'll write-in Zell Miller?

Or he could endorse Evan McMullin. That would cause him to surge among the hotly contested Atlas Forum Poster demographic.

He's obviously not voting for Johnson or Stein.

Why not? He considered dabbling in independent/3rd party politics just a few months ago.

He left the Democrats for being too far left, so that obviously rules out Stein. Libertarianism would also presumably be anathema to him considering his Dixiecrat-esque ideology.

I'm surprised to see so many people saying Trump. He seems like the type of person to really be offended at Trump's comments on the Khans.

I predict that Webb will announce that he changed his mind and will vote for Clinton.  He won't say anything nice about her, and he'll indicate he doesn't like doing it, but he will give a weak, lame Clinton endorsement in the end.

I think Webb hoped to be Trump's running mate.  That wasn't very realistic of him, but folks have their dreams.

I doubt he can be desalted that easily.

Webb wants some kind of political future.  He cast his lot as a Democrat, only to see the party move left on him.  The large number of Republican Administration officials endorsing Clinton gives Webb an opening to reverse himself.

He's 70. There's no way he has a political future, particularly after his Trump comment.
