Will you explain the justification for your ironic Cruz support or whatever this is? At least with Kasich you have a couple of moderated positions and a better performance by him increases the likelihood of a brokered convention. At least with Trump you have an attack on the Republican establishment, and arguably, some entertainment value (horrifying developments at his rallies notwithstanding). Cruz is literally everything wrong with the Republican Party and I can't see any leftist justification for his nomination*.

*possibly if he were the most likely candidate to lose, but that's not the case

Let me ask you this: you have Hillary and Bernie in the race, both legitimately competing for the nomination and then you have, let's say Jim Webb. He's just lingering around, waiting for his home state to vote, playing spoiler to deny the nomination to both Hillary and Bernie to force a contested convention.

(I use Webb as an example because he's about as conservative to the Democrat base as Kasich is liberal to the Republican base). Webb has a 0.0% mathematically to win the nomination.

Assume you are either a middle of the road Dem (Hillary supporter) or a Progressive (and are feeling the Bern!). Are you pleased that Webb is still in the race so that the party elite can choose your candidate?

The overwhelming majority of Republicans have stood up against the establishment in this cycle, voting for either Cruz, Trump or Carson. In other cycles, Kasich would be long gone. He should be gone. Period.

But Kasich leaving the race isn't going to guarantee either Trump or Cruz wins a majority at this point. So the risk of the establishment stealing it is still there.
