Worth noting that Milne needs to hit 50% to win, due to Vermont's law. If you don't hit 50%, the legislature chooses the governor, so Shumlin still wins.

Listen...don't crucify me; I'm just passing along what I heard from a campaign source. This is not what I'm saying I believe will happen.

They're mobilizing for a recount here.

LOL!

Scott now 48-47 with 33% of election day vote in.

Any idea on how representative this vote is?
From what I can hear, quite exactly representative of the state as a whole. Should stay a nailbiter till the end.

Nope. Miami-Dade still <1% in.

Tell me how many more counties left still reporting in florida before i have to start binge drinking again....

Still a lot of Miami-Dade and Broward to report. It's gonna be a squeaker, maybe closer than 2010 in either direction. Ugh.

FitzGerald is getting absolutely slaughtered. Losing Cuyahoga, only carrying 3 counties.

Democrats blew it AGAIN in Florida...absurd.

Yup, it's over. Truly a disgusting state.

Well, so much for that "polls haven't had a Republican bias since 2002" thing. I guess we were overdue.

Even that knob Cuomo is going to win by a margin much smaller than anticipated.

As will Wolf. Judging from what's out, it will be within single digits for sure if you don't round, possibly even if you do round. Luckily Corbett was down by too much for even the wave to save him.

Looks like Alaska is joining the sanity island in this race.
Now even Palin can see the sanity island from her house.

I'm rather confused. I thought Walker was the de facto D in this race, but if he was endorsed by Palin, what does that make him? Is it just a weird grudge by Palin or something, or is Walker to the right of Parnell?

Don't question it, just be happy an incumbent Republican besides Corbett is losing. Tongue

Was out for most of the day, so I'll post my thoughts on the races now:

  • I did not see the MD or MA results coming, but then again, who did?
  • Well done to Walker, LePage (nice swing to LePage), Brownback, Kasich (that's what I call a win!), Martinez, and Haley in particular on their re-election.
  • Great job in AR and IL, well done Hutchinson and Rauner!
  • I guess the main focus now is on CO (come on Beauprez!) and AK.
  • Corbett may have lost, but you can't win them all.

All in all, I'm ecstatic about the gubernatorial results!

Pretty much everyone saw MA coming. Actually, Coakley kept it closer than expected really.

Anyone know what was up with Monroe County, OH? FitzGerald carried it 52/44 but Obama lost it by about the same margin.

Apparently Kasich screwed over a lot of the workers there. If only all voters had as long of a memory as they apparently do.

Even Idaho is more open minded than Texas.
