Yay! He's the only Democrat I wanted to lose. Smiley

Plus now money will be going to real Democrats and not government shutdown supporters.

Better to shed these red seats and put the money towards other seats. This frees up more money for competitive offense seats, including the ones that are open.

lol no. It also frees up money on the other side, so unless there's a big asymmetry it's a wash.

Also, it's funny that Republicans are considered delusional when they want to primary a "RINO" with a conservative in a swingy-to-blue area, yet Democrats openly endorsing Democrats losing seats is somehow reasonable.

You're not a Democrat if you supported the Bachmann/Gohmert shutdown. Even Mark Pryor and Joe Manchin opposed it.

Prepare for PERMANENT (20+ years) Democratic minority then...

Huh? McIntyre is the only douche who decided to support the government shutdown. Mark Pryor didn't. Joe Manchin didn't. Nick Rahall didn't. John Barrow didn't. Mary Landrieu didn't. Sounds like you're interpreting a broader meaning from my post than what it actually had. Besides, if Democrats need people who support Bachmann/Gohmert shutdowns in order to have a majority, then the majority is pointless anyway.

Democrats will already be in the minority in the House until 2022 due to gerrymandering anyway, barring epic landslides with huge coattails in 2016 or 2020.

Yikes. A case could be made for the national Dems to spend less money on McIntyre (and Matheson et. al.), but I don't think it's good to be glad he's retiring.

No et. al, just those two, as they were the only "Democrats" who supported the government shutdown. As for the rest of the Conservadems who didn't back the Bachmann/Gohmert shutdown, I fully support their re-election efforts.
