If Hillary Clinton ended up as the nominee instead of Obama, is there a shot she also would have considered Biden as her running mate or a cabinet position (like Secretary of State). Actually he would have been a fairly good balance to a ticket with her as well, bringing more senate experience to the table and appeal to white working class voters. It's also likely Clinton would have picked an elder white man who doesn't take too much spotlight and is generally a "safe pick".
Or was Obama really his only chance to move into the executive branch?
