CNN exit poll has Biden 45% approve 54% disapprove.

The bar is real low but that is not as bad as I had feared.

Yeah, and if he himself actually run, he could actually gain five, six or seven points (or a swing of three, four points) and be over 50%, therefore well positioned for reelection. Especially if Republicans in congress overreach.

Good morning from Germany! I spent the last hour and a half reading this thread from page 30, without checking the news before. I always asked myself when the big red wave was going to sweep and am more than just thrilled Democrats apparently overperformed expectations. What a night! Just Florida makes me laughing hard. Status as worst state confirmed. Also embarrassing Queen Kathy so much underperformed.

As for Wisconsin, I went through the numbers: If Barnes would win 70% again of the remaining Milwaukee vote outstanding, he would run about even with RoJo. Additionally, Dane County is just at 93%, where Barnes is even at 77% of the vote so far. Most rural red counties seem completed or almost through. Am I wrong or could this just be enough for a razor-thin victory? What are the remaining Milawaukee votes? by mail, which would favor Barnes.

I think Lake is favored in AZ but I’m just not seeing an obvious path for Masters at the moment.

Ugh, I really dunno why NY screwed that much. It's a blue states after all and the national environment isn't that bad. Something went wrong there and Dems need to get to the bottom of it.

Unlikely, Cuomo is gone for 15 months. That's a lifetime in politics. Possibly all the Democrats messed up with messaging, especially on the crime issue. And abortion rights were never in danger, even with Zeldin winning. Meanwhile, Schumer has lost a lot of appeal in rural upstate, as many predicted for years.

With 95% of the vote counted, Shapiro has won 68.5% of the vote in Allegheny county. That's better than Wolf's 67.4% in 2018, despite winning by a lower margin statewide. The bottom has truly fallen out for the Republicans in the county, and I don't know if Republicans can win statewide if they keep getting obliterated there.

Republicans haven't won a Pennsylvania gubernatorial election since 2010. That's astonishing.

To be fair, Republican polling errors indeed seem more of a Trump phenomenon. And Trump wasn't on the ballot. Polls in 2018 were relatively accurate.
