Statement on the Midwest Population increase
I wish to thank and welcomes those new residents to the Midwest today. I believe that this shows that our region is on the rise. I hope that now being the third largest region will allow us to move forward and become the active and engaged region I know we can be. I do humbly ask for the votes of our newcomers and I am open to any questions that any Midwesterner has. Together we can Make the Midwest Strong

I am not sure, but this come awfully close to infringing on my campaign slogan. I am not sure that a squirrel is the best mascot for the Midwest. Maybe a Buffalo perhaps.

Well, I intended the slogan to mimic an issue that was on the Cuyahoga County ballot that had a similar slogan. I didn't mean for it to mock yours, sorry about that, but it's an awesome enough slogan that I think is shareable!

As for the buffalo, well, that would be a good fit for the region, but the buffalo isn't as energized as a squirrel is and that's what I'm looking for this region to be; energized!

Fair enough, believe me no ill will, I just thought you were "borrowing" my brilliant idea lol

I am very proud to see one of my bills make it to the floor of the Althing. The WAMSR Bill will help move the Midwest to a Greener Region through safer technology. I urge the chamber to vote for the bill. Together, we are Making the Midwest Strong.

The Polls are open. Please go out and vote.

I make a pledge to stay in the Althing for a full term, barring the vacancy of the Archduke, which as  PPT, I would fill.

Election
I thank everyone for voting for me in this election. We have a lot of work in the Althing I look forward to completing it. I am interested to see how the New Althing will look at the two bills being currently debated. I will most likely vote in favor of both if the bills are not amended in such a way I would be against them. I will introduce more legislation to the queue later today and this week.

Mideast Promotion of Marriage in Education Act
I don't usually get involved in other regions legislative affairs, but the recent bill passed by the Mideast has made me break this norm. As an openly LGBT Atlasian, I am deeply offended and saddened by this horrid excuse of a bill. Setting aside the gag rule aspect of this bill, which has a certain Russian flair to it. I want to talk about the timing, 8th grade is generally when many young people are starting to tackle with their sexuality, it is a scary time for a lot of youth, including myself when I was that age. Although the bill only deals with Marriage, but this is inherently condemning the entire way of life of LGBT people, which is exactly what youth at that age don't need to be hearing. School is already tough enough for LGBT youth, do we really need it to be harder?

Statement on the recent unrest
My Fellow Midwesterners,
I call on all Midwesterners to stay safe and if any Midwesterners have picked up arms, I ask them to lay them down and allow for normalcy to return. I will be contacting the Governor and Archduke tomorrow along with fellow legislators to discuss recent developments.

For my personal safety I have temporarily left my residence in Rapid City for the time being.

Statement
From his temporary residence in Inuvik, NWT, GAworth makes a statement before heading south

My Fellow Midwesterners,
I was pleased this morning to see the strongly worded statement by our Regions Governor. When I return to the Althing in the next few days, I will introduce a Resolution confirming the regions loyalty to Atlasia. I will be unable to keep in touch with most of the ongoings  here for the next few days. I posted a LOA as well. I reaffirm my loyalty to the President and to Atlasia.

Statement from Representative GAworth
From an undisclosed location near the Capitol of the Midwest Representative GAworth addresses the People of the Region

My Fellow Midwesterners,
I return to my home state today to find a troubling situation. The Pacific has invaded our Region. They could not win a merger in the ballot box so now they take it by force. I have already requested that the Midwestern National Guard be given control of the States in questions. I ask residents of the three States to resist via peaceful means the overreach of the Pacific Governor.

I would like to take time to address the remarks made by Simfan earlier: I have worked closely with our Governor, and never once has he tried to impose a social right wing agenda on the region, so stop your lies. Secondly, since when did disagreements over policy between two men who are loyal to Atlasia allow for an illegal invasion of our region? For a Governor who claims to be a Constitutionalist, you are nothing more than a power hungry land grabber. And when were the leaders of the Midwest outlawed? The illegal demands of Mirth and Moxie to form separate is a Federal and Midwestern issue, not one, fair sir, for the Pacific. I have already requested assistance from the Army in dealing with this.

By asserting illegal control of the Midwest region and preparing to install a proxy illegal Government, the Governor of the Pacific is no better than the various factions aimed at overthrowing the way of life here in Atlasia. I urge the President to put an end to this illegal action.

GAworth makes a plea for calm from the floor of the Althing

My fellow Midwesterners,
The Midwest is in turmoil, I make a plea for cooler from the Governor of the Pacific and the Midwest. STOP THE MADNESS! We do not need a civil war on our hands. The Pacific has illegally occupied the Midwest, and that shall be dealt with through the proper channels and not on the battle field.

Now I am to be critical of both Governors for a moment. I very much doubt that this was motivated by TPP political ambition. Since when, may I add, was our Governor the defender of the Labor Party? So can we please stop the Political BS. The Governor of the Pacific decided that he did not like the personal beliefs of another Governor, and therefore, that gave him the right to seize power. For one that says they believe in the Constitution and Atlasia like Governor Varavour does, invading a region due to disagreements in personal beliefs is not the Atlasia I signed up for and certainly not constitutional.

I now make a plea to the President, STOP THIS PLEASE! I know that you are under review and busy trying to save our fair nation, but the entire west of the country is about to go to war because of a few wiki posts that people did not agree with.

I call on the citizenry of the Midwest to stay calm, stay home, and stay safe. Do not lend any support to those who have invaded or are trying to destroy the region from the inside.

My Fellow Midwesterners,
I would like to take some time to respond to recent developments that have taken place in our fair region.
1. I would like to thank the Pacific for ending its invasion of the Midwest. I do note, however, that the recent occupation has led to Protestors on the ground. I ask that these protestors stay peaceful and do not destabilize the situation any further.
2. As for the massive refugee crisis, I have talked to local officials in my town of Rapid City and several other cities in Vitality, they are willing to accommodate some of the 100,000 refugees from Wichita.
3. I condemn the bombing at Harmony State university and will vow to make sure that those behind the plot are brought to justice.
4. Regarding our Governor, my confidence in him has been shaken, but is not broken. I still support him as Governor during these chaotic times. I urge him to be more active while at the same tie not rushing to judgment.

May Dave continue to keep the Midwest Strong.

I am organizing a aid convoy from Rapid City, Vitality to Topeka, Harmony. The convoy will bring Food, Water, Medical Supplies, and Tents. We will also take several refugees back with us if they so choose.

The convoy will leave sometime this evening for the Greater Topeka Area. We are hearing reports of possible armed groups organizing to stop the convoy. We will take all caution and attempt to peacefully deliver the goods to our fellow Citizens.

Shots rang out in the middle of the night this morning as the Aid Convoy approach Topeka, Harmony. The vehicle carrying Representative GAworth was hit. GAworth was rushed to the hospital in Kansas City. The Aid Convoy, after receiving armed escort went on to deliver aid to the city.

Walking out of the Hospital, GAworth, who suffered a gunshot to the arm, addressed the gathered reporters

My Fellow Midwesterners,
I am glad to here that the Aid Convoy made it safely to Topeka, Harmony. I have been informed that some 5,000 refugees joined the convoy back to Vitality. I know that this relief will not solve the problems plaguing the region but it is a start to ending the suffering. I will now return to the Althing and work closely with President Cranberry, Governor Fitzgerald, Archduke Cris, and my fellow Representatives on resolving the issues facing the Midwest.

I am so pleased to see that the movements in Moxie and Bluster have declared that they will lay down their arms and will seek a re-address of any concerns. As far as the refugee situation is concerned. The cessation of armed conflict will allow for those from Wichita to return home. I hope that the good people of the Midwest will not return to violence and allow for cooler heads to prevail.

My Fellow Atlasians,
You heard correctly, I am returning to the position of Secretary of Internal Affairs. I wish to thank the President for his faith in me. When I returned in force to the political scene, my goal was to simply a member of the Althing for has long as they will have me. However, when President Cranberry was sworn in, I reached out to him offering my services if he so wished. I believe that the Country needs to come back together and Make Atlasia Strong . I wish to serve at the pleasure of the President and will offer my resignation to the next President, whomever they may be. If they wish for me to stay, then I will consider it, if they do not, then I will return to Midwest political scene with no harm done.
With regards to my current role as a member of the Althing, I will continue on until I am confirmed, if I am confirmed, then I will vacate the seat. I have already talked to the Governor about possible replacements. I hope that my legislative agenda doesn't die just because I may be going to Nyman. I will be more than happy to answer any and all questions that Senators and the Public have.
Thank you and Dave Bless Atlasia,

I wish to make a short statement and then later today I will talk more in depth.

I wish to thank the Senate for confirming to the position of Secretary of Internal Affairs. I will make a full statement once I open my SoIA office. I would like to take this time to talk about the Midwest. I had a blast in the Althing, and we still have many important pieces of legislation in front of the chamber. I hope that the Reform Amendment makes it to the people for a vote. I will certainly stay involved in the Midwest, especially when my drafted legislation makes it to the floor. This will hopefully not be the last Cheesewhiz has seen of me.

When did that happen?

Governor Adelaide Simfan strongly abhors this nonsense. It is not in the spirit of the late, great, John Engle, who gave The People food and words.

Do you think so? I think is better to give a fishing rod than a fish. Furthermore, quoting president Cranberry "the people of Topeka and Wichita need help more than words".

The people of Moxie represented in this Assembly is pleasantly surprised with this inititiative and states the following:

1) The Civic Assembly wholeheartedly endorses the executive order issued yesterday by Cranberry, President of Atlasia.

2) The Civic Assembly and the Moxie individuals will continue upholding their help for the people of Harmony (also known as "Kansas"). Also, they are ready to coordinate actions with the Atlasian federal administration. As expressed in previous statements, all roads in Moxie are wide open to humanitarian aid convoys.

3) The members of the Civic Assembly express their clear readiness to collaborate with the President of Atlasia in the solution of the political and humanitarian crisis in the Midwest, as well as pledging allegiance to his administration.

4) However, this Assembly cannot express the same clear readiness with the current Midwestern regional administration, given its reluctance in helping refugees and addressing people's demands by dialogue.

5) The Civic Assembly leaves the road open to subsequent talks with the Midwest.

6) The Civic Assembly deplores all attempts to solve this crisis by force or legal coercion.

As order has been restored and the Volk safeguarded, the Volkstaat disbands and naturally pledges allegiance to the legitimate government. Our struggle for the Atlasianer Volk and separate development will continue through peaceful democratic means, as we reject authoritarianism and violence.

GAworth Announces Re-election bid for the Althing
My fellow Midwesterners,
The last few weeks and months have troubled me here in the Midwest. I left to serve as the Secretary of Internal Affairs because I believed that Atlasia needed a stable government to help handle the aftermath of the civil war or what ever you wish to call it. Now that the new Administration is in place, and normalcy has for the most part returned, I wish to return to my passion, being a member of the Althing. The Midwest is in need of leadership, I hope that my record is one that shows that. I have worked very well with members of the right and of the left in the Althing. I will gladly return to the Althing to again work for the people of the Midwest and Make the Midwest Strong.

I look forward to any and all questions, thank you.

Statement on the effort to recall the Governor
My Fellow Midwesterners,
I have been struggling for a long time over the issue of recalling our Governor. The issues revolving around the Office largely led to me leaving Nyman. In the past, I was a big supporter of Governor Fitzgerald, he was a man who spoke his mind, listened to both sides, and worked for the Midwest. The issue of creationism was not the final straw. I believe that this is his private belief and I have seen no push to impose this on the Midwest. My disappointment started at the Civil War, when the Midwest was hijacked by Pacific Forces and elements who wish to see a creationist Governor gone. The deafening silence during that time was sad to see. Then, when the Governor did speak, he seemed to only inflame the situation.
My second point of contention was the issue of Party Loyalty. I admired a Governor who bucked his Party from time to time. Now we see a Governor who after seeing his career potentially ended by his  party started to cheer lead for the same people he spoke out against a short time before.
I still consider the Governor my Friend and stand by my vote for him in the last election, due to no other candidate on the ballot. However, now the Midwest will hopefully be able to review this decision.

The Althing Election is approaching. As you may know, I have announced my candidacy for a seat in the Althing. I have introduced dozens of pieces of legislation during my stint as a Representative, and I wish to continue that. To work with both sides of the spectrum to build up the Midwest and make it a stronger and more sustainable region. I hope that you give me a serious consideration in the upcoming election and give me a first preference vote or a second preference vote.

After holding conversations with Midwesterners from all political persuasions, I am announcing today, that if a recall election is triggered, I will stand to challenge the Governor.
This will be one of the harder elections I have ever participated in the Midwest. I ask all Midwesterners to examine the last few weeks and months and determine whether the Midwest needs change. Our Governor was elected without an official opposition, and he still barely made it pass the mark. I was not a fan of the Darwin campaign, largely because I believed it was not legal. I was unfortunately proven correct. The Midwest wants to be able to have a valid choice in the election of Governor. I hope that the Midwest will make that change. I will be more than happy to answer any questions.

Endorsed as well. The two of us can and hopefully will make some great progress in the Althing.
I hope we can.
