Although I have not declared my intentions yet, I am glad to see fresh blood entering the race. I came in as a new member in September and got elected the same month to the Althing. I want to see more specifically where you stand before I endorse you.

The thing is, I believe that green energy is certainly something to strive for. However, I don't believe we should shift from fossil fuels to green energy in such an abrubt way that would cost that many jobs. That's why I don't support Kyoto, but I support green energy tax credits, and other market-based incentives to shift us onto that path.
This answers some of my questions. What do you think about some of the laws we have passed, debating, or about to debate.

Well, some recent bills that passed that I would support include the: 'Native Atlasian Revitalization Act', the 'Oil, Natural Gas, and Coal Royalty Rates Bill', and the 'Midwest Family Leave Act'.

I like the teacher pay raise, though had I been in the Althing at the time, I would've supported your (GAWorth's) amendment to the bill, calling for a minimum of $60,000 in teacher pay. I've read through the thread about a hundred times and I still can't understand why that amendment was not adopted, but the bill's purpose in and of itself is good, and I do hope it passes.

As for bills that will be considered, I support the Startup Act and the Midwest Bank Act. As for the Biofuels Act, maybe I am just reading it wrong, but the mandate part confuses me. I'll PM you about it in a little bit here.

Does this sort of clear up that part of your question?
It does, I like your positions and your frankness.
