Yeah, I saw this. Frankly I didn't think PETA could get much more ridiculous, but they just might have with this one.
I strongly believe that they are intentionally and consciously ridiculous at times in order to break into the mainstream news cycle.
They do, and that accounts for most of their absurdity. My main issue with PETA is that they are intellectually dishonest with information (dietary stats, etc.) in trying to gain converts, not that they like the wrong animals.
Attention-getter as this is, they do probably genuinely believe it, which I actually don't really have a problem with.
