I still don't get why folks think the McCain campaign didn't vet Governor Palin.  The Washington Post says that they did.

The DUI leak clearly came from the campaign, and there's no reason to believe that the campaign didn't know about Bristol's pregnancy.  What better day to dump all the bad news than on a Labor Day when everyone else is concerned about Hurricane Gustav?
