Demographically, they are like Arizona in the eastern part of the state, so expect a 50/50 split there, with the Amendment being crushed in the big cities.  San Fran/San Jose is going to go 80% against a ban, LA maybe around 60% against.  I don't think it can pass like that. 

Arizona ban also banned civil unions, IIRC
