Well, let's see:

- There was no actual campaign, because everyone but Clinton kept their pledges to not campaign in the state.
- People were voting (or not) under the assumption that it would not count.

As Verily said, no more fair than holding a flash election right now between Clinton and McCain (that is, if the Democrats wanted Clinton as their nominee in the first place).

so are you one of these obama supporters that advocates a caucus...even though the turnout will be much lower than the primary?

There are probably plenty of Obama supporters who advocate a caucus only because it benefits Obama, like there are plenty of Clinton supporters (and Clinton herself) who advocate accepting the results because they benefit her.

But there are valid financial reasons to hold a caucus instead of a primary.  I don't think it's an entirely disingenuous position.

In other words, Clinton (and the state of Florida) should both be actively rewarded for breaking the Democratic Party's rules, while Obama (and all of the other states) should be actively punished?

I agree with you that the Jan. 29 primary shouldn't count, but how did Clinton break the party rules?

Maybe not party rules, but was there not a mutual agreement not to campaign that she broke?  I may be mis-remembering.  It was posted here, after all, and that sometimes means it's a little, err, "filtered."
