Why does Nevada like Clinton so little?

I think it's general western antipathy towards being interfered with, that is, with large government programs. Clinton, generally for good reason, is seen as an advocate of big government, while most of the Republicans are not. (For the same reason, I can't see Huckabee, in the long run, winning any of the four Southwestern states [Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado] against Obama, who doesn't come off as for big government; it's all about perceptions.)

Agreed.  Nevada is an odd state.  Its voters like to think of themselves as Western libertarian types, but in all actuality, they probably trend populist.
