Alright, then tell me this. What would be the liberal position on all those issues?

Budget: Ignore the defecit and focus on social programs.

Same-sex marriage: Gay marriage NOW.

Immigration: Grant illegal aliens amnesty.

Military: Cut military funding - it isn't necessary.

Personal tax: Increase income tax for everyone.

Health care: A completely public healthcare system.

You get the idea. You know what a far-left position is.

"Gay marriage NOW" is no different from opposing the FMA. Because gay marriage exists. Now.

Won't cut military spending is a given. These days, no Democrat presidential candidate would be caught dead going against the military.

Bayh would just be a tool for the Democrats to shove the things you mention down our throats. They won't run on it, they'll run on being "moderates." The effect, of course, is that Social Security goes bankrupt with no free market reform. That illegal immigrants continue to come in, and one day get amnesty. That activist courts continue to rule on the side of gay marriage.

Democrats see their party as a means to an end - to sneak things in under the radar.

Danwxman, the moderates you're talking about are not moderates. Opposing everything is not moderate. Being stuck in the New Deal, Great Society era and pushing against any kind of reform is not moderate. It's reactionary liberalism.

He has many 50% ratings from Democratic and Republican special interest groups. You are saying he agrees with the Republicans on nothing? Bull.

Broaden use of death penalty. (Jan 1998)

Voted YES on Bush Administration Energy Policy. (Jul 2003)
