Apparently the New York Times was about to post something exactly like this so Slate scooped them.

This is damning but this is the issue that Democrats think anybody cares about but really nobody does.

Yeah, they got outscooped, so they probably have a big write up coming up, and they're a big enough platform that other people may well pick it up and run.

I am probably missing something, but how do we know, that NyT were about to publish a similar story?
