Wow, PBrunsel didn't pick 1928!
I honestly can't decide. 1948 was great because of the comeback and the eduring image of Harry waving the "Dewey defeats Truman" paper. 1960 was great because it had the greatest campaign spot of all time (the Kennedy jingle). 1980 was great because in my mind, anything associated with the year 1980 is automatically great (Mt. St. Helens excluded). 1992 was great solely because of Ross Perot. 2000 and 2004 were great because of the great range of emotions I went through for both of them.
