Delegates, welcome to the Broncos Stadium in Denver, CO, West!

We'll start with the sign-up of the members ([MSI]), then there will be an endorsement vote for the Presidential race and for the Senate races ([END]). After the endorsement vote, we'll address general party business and motions about the future of the party, the platform, the by-laws ([GEN]).

CR rules about endorsements:

Presidential candidates have 48 hours for requesting CR's endorsements.
All Senate candidates will be on the endorsement ballot without any request, but speeches are welcome!

I'm signing up as a new member and ask that we abstain from endorsing a presidential ticket.

In order to do that, you should register as a CR member in the New Register Thread. Smiley

I'm also humbly asking for an endorsement for the gubernatorial race. (I know that Kingpoleon is signing up as a new party member)
The by-laws don't provide endorsement election for the gubernatorial election. For this type of election, the CR candidate is automatically endorsed.

EDIT:

The gubernatorial election is contested by more than 1 candidate, but I think that phrase is referring to At-Large Senate elections where there were more than 5 candidates.

I think we should endorse the ticket with Lumine on.
Lumine is a great public servant, he worked and is still working hard for the party and for the nation.

I don't think that endorsing the Leinad/Lumine ticket will change anything on the project of the new party. The project all of us agree on is a new third party, open to all moderates, populars, independents and people of centre/centre-right.

Lumine's record speaks for itself. Leinad picked him precisely because he is an experienced hand and wants to unite Conservatives, Libertarians and moderates to finally bring an end to the Labor strangehold on the White House that has lasted four terms, the first two of which were an utter disaster, as was the Labor term before that (which Lumine was elected to salvage the country from).

Also the idea of Lumine being on a Labor ticket is hilarious considering the long history of unfair treatment he suffered at their hands and the fact that they essentially ruined his Presidency intentionally, so they could reclaim the White House in spite of the distaster of their last go. And the result was another national catatrophe in July.

Even within CR, Cris had a higher rate of defections among his own party against Griffin than he did among Federalists and the Feds didn't even have a VP candidate on that ticket (it was an indy). The latest house elections, under the current numbers (subject to change), CR essentially lost a sure seat because of defections. With 10+ members the only one who can deprive you of a seat in the House is yourselves.

CR's problem is not perception of being a satellite. The problem is lack of cohesion is dilluting your voting influence and will soon destroy you guys if it is not corrected. If people can just pick you off, what incentive is there for an equal relationship with anybody. Adam didn't pick a CR to get CR votes. His pitch was he's a big tough guy who can protect Atlasia from the big bad wolf and a good number of CR's basically signaled agreement with Adam's message that Cris was too weak to be President. And yet you plan to solve a nonexistant problem, by making your primary one worse? Tongue

We are working on this. We need more cohesion, that's sure.
As for the presidential election maybe I considered their votes granted as I was the CR leader, so I did a mistake. That factor, combined with a lot of other factors, like defections among Feds, centre-right people campaigning for Griffin, contributed to my loss.

I'm sorry Truman, but the 48 hours period for asking the CR's endorsement already passed, so I can't include you on the ballot, but there will still be a "write-in" option.

Do you want to create a rule now, or should it wait?

We are going to form a new party, so I think we shall adress it in the rules of the new party.
But if someone wants to update it now, there aren't problems. Members can motion for updating the by-laws in every moment.

I motion for an immediate vote on a party by law stating that in the event of a tied endorsement, then we will automatically declare a runoff vote over the course of twelve hours solely between those two with no write-ins allowed. In the event of another tie, the Chair decides.

A 48-hours vote on Kingpoleon's motion is now open. Please vote.

What about starting the process to create a new party right after the presidential election?
Your thoughts?
