Hey, I voted for someone who is a member of the disgusting abomination that is the Roman Catholic Church although he barely agreed with any of their f**ked up views anyway, so I can do the same here with someone who also doesn't agree with their church's f**ked up views.

I will also vote for Obama over the man endorsed by Hagee.

Hagee is a small-time bigot relative to Jeremiah Wright.  It's like comparing David Duke to Adolph Hitler.

By what standards? Hagee is on tv and has Republican candidates beating a path to his door, begging for his endorsement. No one would have heard of Wright if Obama hadn't belonged to his church.

True. It's like attacking Obama because one of my friends who supports him says that the best way Minneapolis can solve the Scientology problem is by sending the SWAT team into the local Church of Scientology and start spraying gunfire everywhere.

Republicans don't care about the facts as long as they don't suit their interests. They'd much rather base their arguments on Internet smear campaigns and street rumors.

Fact: His pastor did indeed make such comments.

Fact: Obama still attends the church.

Which part of my comment was factually inaccurate?

Fact: Said pastor is no longer pastor of the church and has not been since the beginning of 2008.

Jake raises a valid point though in that Obama chose his church while Kerry didn't, as far as I know.

How did Kerry not? He could've renounced it and converted.

And for the record: No, I do not consider the Pope to be any better than Wright.

What facts do you need?  The sermons are on tape.  They speak for themselves.  Are their some "facts" that we are missing that are supposed to render this guy's hate mongeing from the pulpit somehow acceptable?

The guy has a perfect right to spew whatever he wants to his flock.  I couldn't care less.  I do care as to why my potential president felt drawn to this man - for 20 years.

So will a lot of people and I can assure you they aren't all Republicans.

There are no facts suggesting Obama subcribes to the "hate mongering" views.

If I go to the Catholic Church does that mean I'm auotmatically pro-life and don't think women can be priests and don't think contraceptives should be used?Huh

Puhleeze....show me that the big O subscribes to this guy's crap......those would be facts.

Yeah, that's exactly what I've been saying.

The Rev Wright affair is quite possibly fatal to Obama's candidacy.  If intrade has not knocked down Obama's chances to get the nomination down to about 40%, sell him short. His chances to beat McCain have similarly fallen.

It's barely had an effect. He's dropped about 2 points, to around 75.

No wonder the Hillary campaign has cleaned Obama's clock in all of the primaries that have mattered.

LOL. That's exactly why Hillary holds such a massive delegate lead right?

Hillary Clinton would be gone had it not been for New Hampshire. And California and Massachusetts. And Ohio. And likely PA as well.

She has won all the big Democratic states decisively, so stop playing stupid in ignoring it.

And yet she still trails in delegates. So obviously the primaries she's lost do matter, because if they didn't matter she would lead in delegates.
