Wow, I'd say Clinton is screwed.

I'm not sure how French Auburn is compared to Lewiston, but the population must be at least somewhat substantial. It was very close, 55-54 Obama.

Lewiston: French Canadian (29.4%), French (18.3%)
Auburn: French (20.3%),  French Canadian (17.1%)

CNN keeps saying Clinton can still win for an obvious reason: Ratings. If they said it's likely over, people will quit watching.

Hillary needs over 70% in the areas that are still out to win. This one is over.

A lot of people brought up the "church" factor but if anything that was probably a slight net negative for Obama due to the time the caucuses were held, with old people more likely to go to church in the morning and young people in the evening. Very very small negative though, almost negligible.

Is there any reason why Francophones prefer Clinton over Obama?

They're relatively poor, blue collar, and "traditionalist". Clinton pretty much always wins "ethnic" whites, see Irish and Italians. Luckily Scandinavians are the exception.

It's just a guess really, but a narrow Clinton victory in CD-2 would mean a 2:1 Obama victory in CD-1 and it can't be THAT regionally polarized.

CNN's currently projecting 15 delegates for Obama and 9 for Clinton.
