Red means I have, blue means I haven't.

Wisconsin will happen this month.

And broken down by genre...emo bands playing at it:

Hardcore bands playing at it:

Bands that are both emo and hardcore playing at it:

Bands that are emo but not hardcore playing at it:

Bands that are hardcore but not emo playing at it:

Only bands that are completely and entirely unrelated to emo and hardcore playing at it:

Just Washington and British Columbia, unless you want to include non-music events that happened to have a live musical performance as a component, then DC too.
How can you live in the birthplace of emo and not go to any DC harDCore shows?!

Just New York. Saw Hot Mulligan on Tuesday, it was great
Nice! What did you think of the openers? They all kicked ass. I've seen Spanish Love Songs before and am actually seeing them again on the 17th. They put out my favorite emo album of the 2020s (Brave Faces Everyone), although I know some people say they can't listen to it because of the lyrics, those do hit HARD.

Really enjoyed all of them! It kind of worked out so that my interest in the bands increased progressively. Opened with Charmer, who I had never heard of, but we're a lot of fun, definitely need to listen to more of them. Just Friends was second, who I was vaguely aware of as a band that was in the same realm of the type of music I like but had never gone out of my way to listen to. I've been listening to a lot more of them since I saw them - "Zaza in the sun :-)" managed to work it's way up to the top of my On Repeat playlist in the past week. Free Throw was the only one I'd have said I was already a fan of, although I really only know their old stuff. "Pallet Town" and "Two Beers In" were a blast to scream along to. And the crowd went absolutely wild when Tades joined them on stage for "A Part Is Better Than Zero"

And of course it finished with Hot Mulligan as the main event, which is my all time second favorite band
OK that's a different set of openers than I saw, they had Ben Quad, Heart Attack Man, and Spanish Love Songs, all who rocked. Never seen any of those openers.

As noted I actually saw SLS again headlining on Tuesday, with Oso Oso, Sydney Sprague, and Worry Club. Although I did notice one of the Worry Club guys was wearing a Free Throw shirt.
