OMG is PM2 really pulling out that talking point that Nordic countries are "socialist" paradises that are significantly less xenophobic than the US? Is he going to claim that European conservative parties are the equivalent of Bernie Sanders next?

They did this with racist at least 10-15 years ago and are in the process of doing it with fascist.

And if you are going to disclose those top three things, also give us your thought on the top three things that YOU would be willing to admit that might/would be better.

The premise of the thread is that critiques of the American left as "socialists" are unrealistic and then tying that into the alleged overuse of the word MAGA. Rino Tom asserted that it was accurate to call them socialists since most of them privately support a Nordic style economy to which you replied by defending socialism. Which proves the point he was making, he even pointed that out and you snipped it out when you quoted him. 

This is the usual Atlas red and red adjacent av rhetorical strategy of denying a thing is happening while simultaneously defending the thing.

1-This is the guy who you're referring to (note the timestamps), keep that in mind when trying to generalize over anything he says.

2-Claiming that Nordic countries have anything other than free market economies is an incredibly cringe statement commonly associated with college freshmen who associate themselves (probably not formally joining because they can't afford the membership dues) with the DSA because they think it makes them cool. (The real DSA probably condemns Nordic countries as neoliberal vehicles of NATO imperialism but no one actually reads those wordy dense manifestos on their sites that say things like that.)

The US is probably one of the least xenophobic countries in the world, and "but MAGA Republicans!" does not debunk that considering the equivalent that exist in other places. Especially the Nordic countries. The Sweden Democrats are currently the second largest party in their Parliament. In Norway Progress was the second largest party for awhile as well. And in Denmark the Social Democrats are significantly to the right of the pre-Trump Republican Party on immigration, much less the Democrats.

Another issue with the "Nordic model" is that in at least country (Norway), it's basically ran on the same economic principal as Venezuela, aka let's use lots of oil money to fund lots of social services. Now obviously Norway is nowhere near as bad off as Venezuela now due to the fact that its leaders aren't completely economically illiterate or completely sociopathic pieces of sh!t, but regardless, is a petrostate model something that can be replicated in most places...or even should?
