Why are there two different parties both advocating legalizing marijuana?
Because they're both basically just ballot lines that people use for protest votes rather than real marijuana advocacy parties. In 2018 both got major party status (obtained by getting over 5% in a statewide election in the past 4 years) because one was the only third party for Attorney General where both major candidates had baggage and one was the only third party for State Auditor which is an obscure office that hardly anyone knows what it does....so each one got over 5%.
