If Trump was mishandling classified information, then yes, the FBI should go retrieve that information.

If Trump was in possession of classified information, there's no reason that couldn't have been resolved cooperatively (or at most with a subpoena.)  Trump voluntarily surrended 15 boxes of documents to the National Archives back in January. 

Sure. No one knows yet what the warrant was for, but I highly doubt the FBI raids a former president's house if there was not something serious to it. I do not believe the conspiracies that somehow Biden is pushing the FBI to take out Trump before the next election. Biden probably wants to run against Trump again.

This is why we need immediate oversight and answers from the Justice Department on why the raid was conducted.  The DOJ seems to be downplaying the raid, which is not a very smart political calculation.

Reminder that per the Atomic Energy Act the President does NOT have unilateral authority to declassify documents on nuclear weapons or material. That can only be done with an act of Congress. So whether Trump took them during his Presidency is irrelevant.

It's not possible to "impeach" a House member, although another one could introduce a resolution to expel them which would require a 2/3 majority to pass.

It's not like he's been banned, or is otherwise incapable of contributing his thoughts like he usually doesn't hesitate to do.  The bodies of the Uvalde children were still warm when he injected his "mah gunnns!!" opinions into that thread, for example.

However, and I say this charitably and earnestly, hopefully he's taking some time away from the internet this week for the sake of his own mental health.  It hasn't been a good week to be a loyal Trump supporter.

My guess is that his cronies were packing up all their other incriminating documents regarding their many acts of malfeasance, and this just happened to get swept into the mix. He probably didn’t even know he had it.

I struggle to see what's a workable defense to convince a jury that reasonable doubt exists here. I mean, they were all marked & some were still in his own desk…

The only real argument that exists is "When the President does it that means it's not illegal"....well no except even that doesn't work because he wasn't President. Thus leaving that bizarre claim that he somehow mentally declassified the documents before leaving office but didn't tell anyone or take any formal action but that still meant they were declassified...but even by that logic Biden effectively mentally reclassified them. And that's not even getting into the Atomic Energy Act's standards for declassification. I'm struggling to come with a coherent legal argument.

Also I'm hearing that Fox News' "argument" is basically "Oh, but what about Hillary's emails?"

I suspect it doesn't help in terms of his legal situation, but really that doesn't even seem like his goal. From what I can tell, the primary point of the special master request is to make a political argument to delegitimize the investigation in the eyes of the public. Even most people who are reasonably politically aware don't know much about what a "special master" actually is, so Trump will now try to fill their knowledge vacuum with whatever bulls*** he can make up that makes it sound like this proves his conspiracy theories about the FBI persecuting him for political gain should be taken seriously.

I guess that makes sense but I can't see anyone who isn't already done cultist of his buying that. Frankly Trump is so distrusted by a majority of the population that I bet most wouldn't believe him claiming any investigation against him was a politically motivated hack job even he was basically correct in that claim.

I think he can also ask the full 11th to look at it but doubtful they'll go for it either.

11th Circ. rules actually preclude reconsideration of an emergency stay, & so there was talk earlier this week of DoJ, if still skittish post-Cannon, filing this initial appeal en-banc instead of in front of this random panel, but thankfully the panel came through, so SCOTUS is indeed Trump's only route for an appeal now.

I'd be surprised if SCOTUS even wants to hear it. They've got their jobs for life, and they're where they are so that they can issue edicts like Dobbs, not blow their credibility on personal favors to Trump.

Ironically the only two justices on it who seem to give a sh!t about Trump personally are two he didn't appoint (Thomas and Alito.)
