There was also an emo band in the 90s from Maryland called Anasarca that had a black vocalist.

Though you could include Bad Brains and fishbone at least in the punk movement.
Uh I posted another one. And Bad Brains WAY predate emo lol.

If you count Paramore as emo (which i don't aside from some songs on the first album but probably would be in the discussion here) then this band basically sounds exactly like early Paramore. (Aka it's pop punk Tongue)
