I'm half-convinced you're trolling at this point. Yes, "fight" is often used in a political context by both parties. But "trial by combat" certainly isn't.

The rioters were literally shouting "Hang Mike Pence". Can you imagine if they'd gotten their hands on not only Pence, but Pelosi, Schumer, AOC or Romney? You cannot deny that there was violent intent, and we are incredibly lucky that no members were harmed.

Prior to this year, January 6th was completely meaningless. His supporters only knew because he kept tweeting about it and how it would be "wild".

Anyway, you are a living demonstration of horseshoe theory.

My actual favorite example of that is jfern raving for two years about how Pelosi wouldn't impeach Bush...and then Pelosi proceeds to impeach the next Republican President twice, and he opposes it both times!
