What the hell is the deal with some leftists and reactionary governments? It's only occasionally that this seeps into the 'real' public spheres, but online, esp. Reddit's socialism, LSC are obsessed with Assad, Putin, Zakharchenko, etc. My local DSA is fairly bad about it too.

The enemy of my enemy (Deepstate, FBI, CIA, Federal Government, Neocons) is my friend.

He's gonna win the primary, and it's going to be depressing as hell.

Well, I'm not all that sure actually. But I'm afraid casting yourself as a victim of the "establishment" and running far-left is now a winning concoction in Democratic primaries. We'll see what happens in the TX-07 runoff.

It probably is but other factors like candidate quality matter too, where Kucinich is not a well very good one.

I'm also pretty sure that most "anti-establishment" candidates haven't spent most of the past two years shilling for Trump on FOX News and didn't issue a congratulatory tweet to Trump on his inauguration.

Clearly if you oppose arming every Syrian jihadist, you must believe that the enemy of your enemy is your friend.

Because in jfern's warped worldview if you are opposed to a dictator who gasses his own people, that makes you an ISIS sympathizer and a neoliberal warmonger.

I suppose everyone who opposed the Iraq war loved Saddam, too?

Of course not. However I don't know of any anti-war activist who didn't just speak out against the Iraq War but visit Saddam personally and parrot his propaganda back to the US (something that clearly wouldn't have helped the anti-war movement) and accept a $20k payment from a Baathist-aligned fascist group to do so. Which is the actual parallel to what happened here.

I know it's futile with who I'm responding to, but I thought that point needed to be made.
