Sounds like a BDSM thing.

But it also sounds like it wasn't exactly consensual so he's scum.

More relevant than this absurd unenforceable "contract," is what he actually did to her in carrying out its "terms." In the gay community, some guys are into bondage, and sometimes even insist upon it. Odd, but that is the way it is. But yeah, just on the existence of the "contract" alone, I would fire his ass myself.

BDSM contracts like this aren't meant to be legally binding. Their purpose is part symbolic and part setting expectations that both parties consent to. The issue here is the woman was obviously coerced and it wasn't consensual.

The woman probably signed the "contract" agreeing to (almost certainly wanting to) do those things but at some point he crossed the line or she changed her mind in which case the "contract" is meaningless and he coerced her. Which makes him scum obviously.

The odds are well over 90% the woman wanted those things in the article to be established as rules and >50% the whole thing was primarily her idea (or at least her desire) to begin with.

But that obviously doesn't excuse him trying to force her into things she had not agreed to and be violent toward her when she refused.

I have to say, I never anticipated that I’d come back to see BRTD giving Torie lessons in “contract” law.

...I specifically said the contract is not legally binding.

Why does his party affiliation matter? If he was a Democrat I'd still call him scum and I doubt anyone would be defending him.

Republicans always rush to defend their predators. Just look what happened in Colorado a few days ago.

Who's defending this guy? Huh

Yeah no one is. And if he was a Democrat no one would be either. That a double standard exists on this sort of thing is only true in the minds of blinded partisans.

Or, you know, reality

When Franken is in office and Trump has resigned, maybe you can try again.

...and that would also be a double standard. The proper thing would be neither one in office.

"Now listen, you stuffy old prudes, there's nothing wrong with two consenting adults, in the privacy of their own bedroom...wait, no... don't consent like that! Not like that!"

...except she obviously didn't consent to some things and then he violently coerced her. That's bad.

If everyone consents and there's no coercion, its fine.

Is that hard to understand?
