In this case the issue is the single biggest enemy of liberalism in the world today.

In this case it's self defense. Julian Assange seeks to destroy liberalism and spread alt right ideologies and authoritarianism across the globe.

Assange is almost powerless now

No he's not. Wikileaks is still spreading lies about opponents of Trump, trying to defend Flynn and also orchestrating a smear campaign against Merkel (and obviously NOT for the benefit of her left wing opponents, but for Putin obviously.)

If you read Wikileaks press releases ranting about "globalism" and all that jazz, it's obvious Assange's ultimate goal is to destroy all global cooperation and trade and reduce it to some 19th century patchwork of mercantalist states and nationalist oppressors taking over. Destroy the EU, destroy NATO, etc., and then let Putin sweep in to rule the scraps.

Also the "Wikileaks Task Force" has openly admitted on Twitter that they are establishing a database of information to allow them to dox anyone who opposes them.

Assange is an attention whore prick, but I fail to see anything wrong with what this guy or Manning did ("they have some douchey admirers" is not something that they did wrong.)

Of course you didn't think he was so bad before he published the leaked Podesta e-mails. Your entire ideology must be based upon those. Sad!

Yes, and the tweet in question shows that Wikileaks is stockpiling a database of information to threaten and bully any critics of them and threaten doxxing.
