LOL even RaptureReady lists Irvin Baxter as a buyer beware kook scammer.

https://www.raptureready.com/who/Irvin_Baxter.html

Only Bushie could find this guy as his trusted source!

Not surprised, fundamentalist Christianity tends to be very Judean People's Front-esque. I remember reading a couple years back about some church organizing a book burning of works by "false prophets" which included people like Mark Driscoll, John Piper, Rick Warren and basically any evangelical author who's well known at all.

Something else I've noticed is the more reasonable (speaking relatively of course) and mainstream conservative evangelicals often write a lot of stuff about how you should be careful to NOT fall for crap like this and emphasize how the Bible states no one can know or predict the end times, etc.

But you know what's also pretty amusing? These people also often put a focus on warning about MLM scams. For example:

http://www.gotquestions.org/multi-level-marketing.html
http://www.buildinghishouse.org/articles/mlm.shtml
http://www.vandruff.com/mlm.html

And we all know what Bushie's record on MLM is. So basically Bushie can't even accept good or reasonable advice from people of his own theological bent. He always falls for the scams of all types, in all circumstances.

Remember that the people who believe this crap don't believe all people who identify as Christian will be raptured. It'll be a vast minority even in the west. Also the war will involve some sort of totalitarian government over the entire world...do yeah Alexis Tspiras is going to rule the world soon.

When I was hanging out with BRTD yesterday we talked about BushOklahoma. This gave me a terrifying realization that just as BRTD was a real person standing in front of me, Bushie was also a real person out there somewhere. This is terrifying.

Also I found out he completely missed the whole Antichrist speculation/Revelation's trumpets arc. Someone who isn't so tired should fill in! But here's the original post that kicked it off:

Good evening, guys!  Based on studying Bible prophecy and then doing some research, I think I have stumbled across a candidate who fits the bill that the Bible points out for the Antichrist.  It is not Vladimir Putin or Barack Obama or Tony Blair.  He is a newcomer to the world scene - the new Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras.  Here is what I believe that matches up with Scripture.  He is an atheist, first and foremost.  As a child in the early 1980's, he became involved with the Communist Youth of Greece.  He is leader of the Coalition of the Radical Left political party in Greece.  He is from Athens, Greece which fulfills the prophecy that he must come the European Union (the reborn Holy Roman Empire) and from Macedonia which includes Greece.  He is very pro-Palestine.  He has already talked with Pope Francis, who is shaping up to be the False Prophet, and they see eye to eye on a lot of thing.  I can't say 100% certain that he is indeed the Antichrist, but he is the best candidate we've had so far.  So, take that and chew on it for a little while. RFayette, I have placed you on ignore because Satan has gotten a hold of you.  What do I do with Satan?  Ignore him.

I think a more appropriate twist here would be for Bushie himself to be Satan. After all, who else would work so tirelessly to twist religion for his own gain? Who else would take great, well-meaning Christian helpers like J-Mann and wear them down to the point he has?

Reminds me of a certain X-Files episode.

Even more weird is Bushie's apparent belief that a single glass of wine makes you too intoxicated to drive and that this remains the case for an entire day.

The funny things are:

1-Bushie's credit report is no doubt garbage and
2-Unlike many people with bad credit, most of it is primarily his fault.

Bushie isn't like the people with sob stories about being foreclosed in 2008 after being laid off during the worst of the recession or people who had to declare bankruptcy after massive medical bills, his credit black marks are all due to him not being able to hold a job for more than a few months and awful decision making on top of that. Take the short sale of his house, which could've been completely avoided had he never bought the house that he never needed in the first place. So if they still hire after the credit check, I wonder what they are looking for. Granted I know it's common that the only employers who tend to care a lot about credit score are financial industry ones but then you wonder why this one is checking in the first place.

Full disclosure, I work for a cell carrier (I won't say which one, though it should probably be obvious.)

I'm most surprised that Sprint has data service in Oklahoma considering the few in the tristate with Sprint can't ever seem to get coverage.

Oklahoma probably has great cell service almost everywhere. It's very flat, which is all that's really needed for strong service. If the Tri-state area you're referring to is where I think it is, then it's rather hilly, and mountains and valleys are the biggest problem with cell coverage, I've only managed to find one dead spot in North Dakota of all places and it's at the bottom of a natural bowl. Granted I know Sprint's coverage in North Dakota is pretty weak, but that's true for any non-Verizon carrier and has more to do with market forces (Verizon established a near monopoly in the Dakotas before any other carrier thought of setting up there and now dominates the market so thoroughly it's pretty hard for any others to break in so most haven't bothered offering anything but very bare bones service for passers-through.)

How do you upgrade your phone each year? AT&T only lets me get a new phone every two years.
Sprint lets you buy the phone on installments and they add the cost of the phone on your bill each month. Of course, they charge an arm and a leg for this "service." You end up paying far more than full retail price for the phone.

Does Sprint give any sort of discount though for having the installment payments? I also got my phone on an installment plan, but since the monthly cost is $25/month and I also get a $25/month discount to my line access charge, it's basically free. And I can trade it in and upgrade after a year too. If Sprint is simply charging you a monthly installment more than the full retail price of the phone (which already is usually more than $400 more than the advertised contract price)...then yeah that's both a massive rip off and one Bushie can't afford.

How much data do you use in a month on average?

I really don't know to be honest.

Then why are you so certain you need unlimited data?

I just don't like being told how much data I can use on my phone.

I don't either, but I'm not going to spend an extra $600-1000 a year to prove a point to my phone carrier by buying data I don't need.

And Sprint's "unlimited data" just means you don't get charged an overage for it, they'll still throttle you to some pretty slow speeds if you go over 2GB a month. There's a reason carriers are moving away from unlimited data, because modern day smartphones are a huge strain on the networks. Back when unlimited data was the rule, people just used them for email and web access. If all carriers allowed unlimited data with not throttling everyone would be getting way slower service (and it'd probably be mostly due to a few hogs clogging up the network)

To be fair though, Sprint is known as one of the cheaper carriers (Verizon and AT&T are the most expensive with the huge networks, Sprint and T-Mobile have the smaller networks but a much lower price), so Bushie isn't really spending more money in regards to keeping his unlimited data, if it wasn't for the phone installment sale thing. But what he's apparentely paying so he can upgrade every year...oh yeah.

FYI the most data I've ever managed to use on my phone is 6GB. And you all know how much I play Ingress.

So based on what I gathered from a quick glimpse on Sprint's site, the unlimited data plan (which incidentially also does have unlimited minutes, so yeah I have no clue why the f[inks] Bushie is talking about that) is only available if you buy the phone on "Easy Pay" which is the installment plan where you end up paying more than the full retail value for the phone and does NOT include a discount from what I gather, meaning that actually yes, Bushie is paying crazy prices to get unlimited data that he probably doesn't even use anyway. FWIW Sprint is notorious for things like throwing in gimmicks like this and the "cut your bill in half" and then offering it only if you pay full price for the phone but advertising only the non-equipment cost making it look far cheaper than it really is. (Although to be fair it's not like the other carriers are much better when it comes to misleading marketing.) He could pay a bit less with an $85/month single line plan and also appears he could get a 2GB plan for $75/month....so yes Bushie is once again spending money on something he doesn't need.

Bushie what carrier do your parents have?

OK I don't know how much data your parents have/use, but AT&T offers $40 per smartphone on a shared data plan and $40 for 3GB. I don't see Bushie's parents being huge data users either so 1GB per each is probably enough. That'd be only a bit over $53/month split up. And even for 6GB (and thus 2GB per phone), that'd be $70, so about $63/month. And significantly better coverage based that site linked as well.

Damn, cell phone plans seem expensive in the US. I pay about $30/month for unlimited calls and texts, 10 GBs of data at high speed and then unlimited at low speed. That doesn't include one of those scams to make you overpay for a phone though, that I had to get separately. But still.

I have a T-Mobile plan, $30 for unlimited texts, 5 GB 4G data, and 100 minutes. Since nobody uses their cell phone for calling anymore, I rarely hit the minute cap (when I do, I can pay 10 cents a minute for extras). It's a pretty damn good deal here. Every other plan I looked at was at least $50 for that much data (though those also had unlimited minutes).

Not a bad deal, but T-Mobile has no native coverage in North Dakota (even the urban areas), meaning if I got a plan with them I'd be screwed on very weak roaming only whenever I visited home.

Ugh, no, these burgers don't look appealing at all. They'd finish Bushie off for good.

Bushie would still eat that. Ugh.
